University of Illinois at Chicago Architecture Video (length - 5:35)
My video project for the University of Illinois at Chicago, about architect Walter Netsch's use of Brutalism in the design of the East Campus. I filmed, edited, and custom composed the music.
Camp Jam music video highlight reel (length - 5:04)
I spent an entire summer flying around the US directing music videos starring the kids of Camp Jam.
Hear me on Chicago Public Radio's Hello Beautiful, and read about me in Time Out Chicago, Gapers Block, Chicago Comedy Examiner, the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine, Centerstage Chicago (Sun-Times), Midwest Living Magazine, NewCity Chicago, the Times-Sentinel, and Quiet Rebel Writer.
I've written for Gapers Block and Chicago Metblog, and you can also find me on Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Woodturner Tim Kennedy at Kellar Mahaney Gallery, Zionsville, IN (length - 2:41)
Featuring
art gallery Kellar Mahaney's owner Lolly Schoonover and artist Tim
Kennedy. I wrote the music specifically for this piece, and shot and
edited the video.
Off The Street Club Thanksgiving Dinner (length - 2:00)
I
had not planned on doing a video that night, but decided to let the
kids run around with my small digital camera, taking photos and videos
of themselves and their friends. The result is a decidedly low-fi video
that nevertheless bubbles with charm and is still one of my favorites.
Glamorama 2008 Loves Chicago 2016 (length - 2:31)
I
took a stand-up comic friend to Chicago's biggest fashion event to to
do some man on the street Q&A with some pretty ladies to find out
what's so wonderful about Chicago. I shot, edited, and wrote the music
as well as the quips for the ladies.
Video testimonials:
"Elizabeth
has been filming my performances for years now. She is uniquely
supportive, in my experience. She knows how to make the cameras
disappear, as it were, so everyone's comfortable. She has a wonderfully
light touch. And her editing skills are top-notch -- she's fast, clever,
and really gifted. I'd use her again any time."
-Robert Buscemi, comedian, actor and writer
"McQuern can always be relied upon for top notch work. Her professional video and editing work catches the essence of performances every time, and her photography captures performers looking their best."
-Adam Burke, comedian and writer
"Elizabeth has consistently supported my work as a comedian, and her work as a blogger and producer has been invaluable to uniting Chicago's stand-up community. I recently had my first opportunity to truly collaborate with Elizabeth on a film project and was extremely happy with the results. Elizabeth's gifts for enthusiasm, open communication, and her ability to create a high-quality product despite a limited time frame allowed the project to come off without a hitch. I am very proud of our final product, and impressed with Elizabeth's ability to match my creative vision."
