Hi, I'm Elizabeth McQuern. I'm a writer and multimedia producer. I explore subjects including health care and medicine, entertainment and the arts, real estate, employment, food, comedy, and more. I help design websites, and I develop ad copy, video content, press kits, magazine and newsletter articles, press releases, proposals, presentations, and more.

I've written for Swedish Covenant Hospital, DePaul University, and other notable Chicago institutions. I've produced web content for sites that Chicago Magazine called "one of Chicago's best," and "engaging." My writing has been featured in the Indianapolis Star, El Restaurante Mexicano, Builder/Architect, Real Estate Executive and many other publications across the United States. My photos have been published in Punchline Magazine, Time Out Chicago and The Comedians, and grace professional websites and promotional materials of all kinds.

I have extensive blogging expertise, and experience managing websites as well as producing and editing audio and video content. I'm the author of Bella Rossa: a Writer/Comedian's Blog, which was described as "engagingly written" by Chicago Magazine, quoted in Columbia Journalism Review's CJRDaily, praised by Gapers Block ("very well-written") and the subject of an article in Centerstage Chicago ("hip Chicago blogger").

I was also editor of The Bastion, a chronicle of Chicago comedy, which Chicago Magazine called "one of Chicago's best web sites" and Chicagoist called "a trusted source of interviews and reportage." My decision to retire the site resulted in a flurry of press, including a full page article in Time Out Chicago. I'm also co-producer of the critically-acclaimed Chicago Underground Comedy stand-up showcase, a launchpad for emerging Chicago comedy talent.
