Welcome to my world!
Hi,
I'm Elizabeth McQuern. I'm a filmmaker and multimedia producer. What
does that mean, exactly? Well, it means I do a little bit of everything,
but my final product is usually video. I write, I develop content, do
photography, compose music, and I shoot and edit film.
I've created content for University of Illinois at Chicago, Swedish Covenant Hospital, DePaul University, University of Chicago, and other notable Chicago institutions. My photos have been published in Punchline Magazine, Time Out Chicago and The Comedians, and grace websites and promotional materials of all kinds.
I have extensive blogging expertise, and experience managing websites as well as producing and editing audio and video content. I'm the author of Bella Rossa, which was described as "engagingly written" by Chicago Magazine, quoted in Columbia Journalism Review's CJRDaily, praised by Gapers Block ("very well-written") and the subject of an article in Centerstage Chicago ("hip Chicago blogger").
Once upon a time, I was editor of The Bastion, a chronicle of Chicago comedy, which Chicago Magazine called "one of Chicago's best web sites" and Chicagoist called "a trusted source of interviews and reportage." My decision to retire the site resulted in a flurry of press, including a full page article in Time Out Chicago.
Currently, I'm also co-producer, castmember, and in-house filmmaker at the critically-acclaimed Chicago Underground Comedy stand-up showcase, a launchpad for emerging Chicago comedy talent.
What can I do for you? Let's talk.
